Wanted to get a thread going that shows some of Marcello Gandini's other designs. Try to post as much explanation as you can with the photographs.
Starting this one off with the Bertone Carabo. This is THE car that ushered in the whole 'wedge' era of cars. This car was based on the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33, which was a mid engined V8. It was the first car to have the guillotine doors that would later show up on, of course, the Countache, Diablo, etc. This car was done two years after the Miura, so it predates the other wedge cars by at least a few years.
Carabo means "beetle" in Italian and not that the green coloration and irradescent shades are to make it look like one of those green beetles, don't know why.
