It's the Microplex that uses the two VR sensors on crank and flywheel. The crank pulley has two pips at 180 degrees to give spark timing for cyls 1/4 or 2/3, actual cyl determined by the dizzy. The Jetronic only senses pulses on the coil -ve to determine the engine is running.
The Haynes manual for a 1301cc Uno turbo engine shows 2 engine speed sensors connected to the ignition computer. Is the second sensor the one that has to be attached to the gearbox close to the flywheel?
Also, does anyone have pictures of the knock sensor that is fitted to the Mk1 Uno turbo engine?
Not the best picture, but the knock sensor is in the head with the long cable at cyl 3.
The MK1 uses 2 VR sensors,on the pulley 2 teeths 180 deg apart(are at TDC at the sensor) and the second one is at the gearbox, using the starter ring teeths as reference.
