What do you drive in winter if the X is in storage?

My daily driver is a 2010 audi a3 sportback

2003 Chevy 4X4 Pickup...

V6, 4X4 with rear locker, tall tires (85 series), regular cab longbed with capper. Hauls firewood & car parts in winter, kayaks & camping gear in summer. Takes me backwoods trout fishing & bird hunting...a multi-tasker...

Fractional,

How is the Lexus in the handling dept? I had a go in one and it was a bit wallowy. I'm guessing they aren't all like that?

Hey there. Stock handling is actually above average for a sedan. My car has coilovers, front and rear sway bars, slotted rotors and a big brake kit so it feels like its on rails and stops on a dime :) :). Theres no need for all that though, sway bars alone will do wonders for ya. Cheers,

Subaru Impreza

When the X, Miata, and R1100R are hiding from the New England sodium slurry between November and May, I drive a Subaru Impreza wagon. Nothing like it for winter roads in Massachusetts. -Doug

2008 Jeep Liberty

is my daily driver. Does quite well in the snow as it should. I did have out to Colorado this past summer while on a hiking vacation. It did as well runnning at 85mph on the interstate as it did crawling in 4 drive low on a one lane dirt road.

The subi has been sitting mostly but has Blizzak LM-22 tires and is unstoppable. Oh, and its for sale. ;)

I wish

Nope, 2.5 TDI AEL, remapped to 175 bhp. Soon to get further work, DSS Ultime II nozzles, de-cat pipe, different turbo. So, it should be nearly as fast as an Ur S6, but with lots of black smoke and not quite the same kudos!

Other Audi makes up for it though, 505 bhp/15 mpg.

Only one Rachael...

All tucked away with a blanket on top. (not shown here)

(actually, the blanket is moisture absorbing... :) )

Winter driver.

We just picked up a 2011 VW Jetta TDI last month. Awesome car to say the least.

Up until then, I had a 2008 Kia Rio 5 Speed.....good car for the price. (under $10000 Canadian) And my Mrs. drove a 2003 Hyundai Elantra.

With me away 8 months of the year until 2014, we didn't see any reason to keep either of them, and sold both.
