Tried tennis ball and did help push pedal back up but limited downward push to the point clutch engage/disengage was so far at the end as to be uncontrollable. Probably bent/twisted something or other.:hrmph:
I never bleed the clutch system with the slave cylinder bolted in place. I unbolt the slave, remove push rod and the rubber boot. Then I use a large "C" clamp on the slave cylinder to hold the piston at full travel. This allows you to get the bleed screw pointed up and sitting at it's highest point. Pressurizing the reservoir can also help.
