The windshield wipers are in the trunk, right?
Thanks Carl!!! Sunday I was on my way to the local Fiat Club breakfast when rain drops appeared on the windshield. That's when I remembered about the wipers and the hardtop in the dining room. I was about an hour away from home and turned around. For about 15 minutes the rain was pretty bad but then it lightened up and stopped. What do they say about driving a scorp in the rain???

Made it home and installed the top and wiper arms. The top would fit better, but installed is some thick weather stripping hiding the crap job the upholstery shop did. Other than that it looks pretty cool.

RainX and driving fast enough for the rain to fly over the roof.
I have no plans to have one of these cars but watching the agony you guys go through makes me feel better about X ownership.

There isn't anything wrong with the Scorpion wiper system. Well, the plastic gear inside the wiper motor may develop an issue and heard the automatic parking wiring may not always work properly. Running without any is a choice that take all of 5 minutes to install wiper motor, linkage and wipers.

Whats with the wiper blades, they look special scorpion fitment only. Might explain why one has zip ties around the arm

Btw my custom top does not fit in the frunk. Was hoping it would. Oh well the drama

just pop rivet sheet metal over the opening and stop pretending the car is a targa top.

Well its really not a car to begin with. More like a conversation piece that occasionally moves under its own power

top looks nice. At least you did not have a captive nut stripped on the driver side windshield header, like I did.

Picked up the frunk carpet from a local upholstery shop. Carpet was missing a chunk. They sewed in a piece. Some of the carpet is ragged in places but at least its in.
Next is to make a battery top cover.

Also installed the Momo steering wheel.

Not to mention the S2 mirrors. Looking good!

Could not find my old engine cover to get the prop rod thing off it. No clue where that is, unless it is buried under a junk pile somewhere. Did you find what you were looking for?

Switched out the motor mounts, again. I’m getting pretty good at this, 1.5 hours. Front mount is s bitch. The car came with new solid mounts and the car vibrated badly. I replaced them with some old ones I had and the car was much better but those mounts were really old. This week my friend let me use his press and I was able to press in new ones that I bought from Germany. They have the slots like the oem ones.
