A few goodies from MWB well see how this radiator works with the 500 engine. I already have some 10" fans that will work with this also.

Finally had a good days work on the car. Engine is out along with the entire harness. Just need to drill out the welds for the engine mounting points out of the 500 to use in the X and the rest of the car will head to the scrap yard

Thank you guys. I wish I could, I need the room in the garage. Car has been stripped pretty good. I saved all the bolts, electrically everything has been removed. The only thing that could be salvaged is sheet metal which I already have more than enough. Everything else is being replaced new.

Drilled out the mounting points to be welded into the X. today and clocked the turbo. Small locator pin needs to be drilled or cut on the turbo.Wastegate rod needs to be extended and a new bracket needs to be fabricated, same as in @TonyK build. Also need to redo all the cooling lines. Most of them will be connected and erouted using an- fittings and braided line wherever possible.

Been doing research on trying to eliminate or tune out the evap without much luck so for now things will remain.

Began drilling out the mounting points and made the first cut on the firewall. Alot of gunk but is actually cleaning up well actually

Havnt had a whole lot of time unfortunately, but ended up drilling the remaining mounts out of the X making room for the Abarth engine. Rough cut on the firewall is complete and began cutting on the frame to make room for the oil cooler and coolant lines. Almost ready to drop in the engine and tack in the mounting points.

The first cut of the dash to begin fitting in the X...Did a lot of staring/planning at the car these past few days which lead to some split directions with this build. Instead of chopping the Abarth seats to get them to fit, I am on the hunt for a set of street/sport seats.

I wanted to utilize the clutch and brake pedal assy from the 500 which I actually could of fit and mounted. Original plan was to cut/weld/ modify the firewall for the brake booster however, the rod was dead center of the steering rack. Not sure of the direction I want to go with the brakes but am leaning towards this as giant as it is or possibly some other hanging pedal assy. I like the idea of having the booster as i may be able to retain the abs pump which will ease some of the electronics warning light part of it. https://kugelkomponents.com/product...-iron-m-c-standard-clutch-m-c-8-dual-booster/

In the meantime I will be soon putting in the engine to begin welding the mounting points.

Finished the cut on the body. Made some brackets using 1x3/8 bar stock(thanks @jimmyx ) to to be able to lift the ass end keeping the legs of the hoist out the way so the engine could be slid in place. Engine is in place, now will be lifted and aligned for the engine mounts to be welded in place. Couldn't of done it without my Lil helper...

So close.

Almost there with the engine placement. Transmission side mount is tacked in..need to modify the engine side a little more...will be running dnaracingcomponents mounts in this application so engine side mount won't be as bulky and of course way better performance
