I switch back and forth between the original rear grill and taillights and a roundhole mesh grill and Ferrari F50 taillights. Only 8 nuts and two wire connectors to swap them.

Have had/have several intake setups on it. Dual 45DCOEs, dual 42 DCNFs or this single 34DMTR setup.

Such a great looking car! I suspect sour grapes from other non-responders... ; )

Mine is also a '77, and I'll be using Cromodora CD 50 magnesium 14x6 wheels, which are very similar/same as yours. 12 pounds each! I'll also be using an aftermarket 4 tip exhaust that I restored last year. If you could provide a video of your car's exhaust note I'd be curious!

yours is an inspiration to continue with mine after a long pandemic delay. Thanks for posting it, and email anytime with questions/thoughts related to it : )

Very nice Scorpion, with all the right mods. Did you do that stuff yourself, or was the car already that way when you bought it?

Congratulations on a great ride!

Thanks Chad C. Don’t have any video myself. The Cromadoras were the first thing I bought for it.

Here is the Ansa when I had it ceramic coated.

Pete, it was stock Scorpion when I bought it.

Hi Dave, did you go to the PVGP this year? Did you show the Scorpion?
Welcome to XEB
Ralph

Hi Ralph. Yes, I was there with the red Scorpion. Couple of these photos were taken there. Always a good time. Have gone several times before as pitcrew for some vintage Italian cars but since this year Lancia was the featured marque for the Cortile I took the Scorpion to display.

What a cool Montecarlo, love the red paint. All good mods, very similar to my 1976. Have you found the single carb setup works the best? Is your car a 1.8 or 2.0? I think the round tail lights work great.

Thanks. Butt dyno prefers the 45 DCOEs.

It’s a 1800 block, high compression pistons, 40/80 cams, ... Red 77 is more of a looker than full build for speed.

The photos I posted don’t really show how cool the perforated round hole rear grille is. I can leave it at events with the engine compartment cover closed but people can still get an idea peering in through it. These pics show it better.

Another Scorpion I built was Volumex supercharged.

I was lucky enough to codrive a Delta Integrale in US hillclimbs.

Very cool, where the hell did you find the volume X supercharger?
My Montecarlo is 2.0 and
ED68C104-FD3D-4E1F-9D04-7273E70013A9.jpeg
also has 40/80 cams with 9.0:1 pistons. And a header, pluse Fuel injection.
And Weber big bore throttle body, pluse a Mustang SVO air meter. I did not build it, but I and having fun with it.
Your car just pops with the red paint, your rear tail light panel is very cool.

The Volumex was procured back in the 1990s. Your car is Mark Rawlings?

Yes it is Mark’s old car. I was originally interested in his metallic orange one. But he sold it a year ago.
My car is i great shape. I am just spiffing it up a bit. I had a paint correction done, got the A/C working (needed a new compressor). Pulled the bumpers this week to get them painted. There were a few paint flaws (chips and cracks)
And a few service items. I wanted a Montecarlo that was 95% done with some performance mods. I looked for a year all over the country, and found him through the Lancia lib in my own state. He is a great guy, a real craftsman. He also installed a taller 5th gear for better freeway driving.

Let me think about the tail light panel. I think it looks really good on a red car like yours. I just think the mesh will get lost on my car.

So I would think you have been to the Freakout on the east coast? I have gone to Monterey car week for years. And when this year, and plane on taking my X1/9 and the Montecarlo up next year. The X1/9 is the Honored car at the concourso Italiano. I was toying with going to the freakout in 2022. I don’t know if shipping my car would be to expensive. Of if I should just fly in.

I stopped being a member of that club when they sold it out to Fiat corporate. Had been going since the 90s. Some pics I shared were from earlier Freakouts.

Very cool set up you have. Mark had two sets of rims for my car. One set just like yours, and the ones I chose.
They are from a B turbo.
