Thanks Steve. When I last read your write-up (awhile back) I thought it said these ARP part numbers all needed to be verified, so I wasn't sure they were correct. Maybe I misread it or maybe its been updated since then. Either way, thanks for posting again.

Bernice, Thank you for posting the vid about torque vs clamping load. Very convincing demonstration. Also, thank you for your description of how to properly torque a bolt/stud. Good write-up. One thing I would like to add, to get the most accurate torque try to get at least 1/4 turn to reach the target amount. 1/2 turn would be better.

Question. The tension/release. Is this done with the temporary head gasket? Thinking that tension and release on the new one would not be good. Just verifying
