Revising the coil over upper mounts using the Ford Focus mount
Hussein, I'm afraid you could have a clearance problem with the hood in your front set-up. Be careful. Maybe you know it already, but I have a bump in my hood to remind me to check whenever I do some changes to my coilover set-up...
What is the top bearing that you used from? I believe it was what you already had on the coilovers before installing the Ford mounts, and they do not look like they're the Ford bearings. If I were to venture a guess I'd have to say something Volvo?
Curious if you considered using the flat "Torrington" thrust bearings that mount directly against the springs?

Volvo # 3530341. The Ford ones are the same design, just too large for 2.5" springs.
I wouldn't use an open bearing like that. As it is, I get all kinds of grit etc., in the spring seats, those open bearings would be toast in a week
Hey Hussein...
I don't know where you take you X off road... (I thought Group B Rally racing was dead...) but I've known many regular X1/9 enthusiasts that have never had a problem with those Torrington style bearings for many, many years...
You do have a point though!
Hussein, have you ever been to Québec? Moving from there to Ontario, or south to NY or Vermont, and suddenly we feel like driving on a carpeted living room!Just the typical NY road conditions, nothing special
